We hope our local spelling bee won't be as anxiety filled as it was for the young contestant pictured to the left. The fact is however that spelling bees have been around for a very long time, dating back to the 19th century. It should come as no surprise that IAT is doing its own variety of a spelling bee in the coming weeks. Take a look at the over 900 spelling words compiled for grade 10 students to know how to spell. Pretty impressive for a start. When it's all over, we'll have happy faces to post of our winners.
Definitely, the boys are very excited about the spelling bee. I'm sure we are going to have a nail biting competition and many exciting supporters too.
