Why is vocabulary important in literacy?

Learning new words contributes to the learning progress of a student and improves skills such as Reading. A rich vocabulary also improves students' ability to communicate through speaking, listening, and writing.

Make it a point to jot down new words you come across and often read then over again to practice pronunciation and spelling.

Here are some of the vocabulary words we are looking over in LC4. Take note in your journal or via Edmodo.

University, exams, doctor, medicine, salary, retire, business Crew, pilot, interview, population, government, pessimism, reaction, react, behavior, Communist, tradition, mess, incredible, controlled, capitalism, development, shocking, factories, boundaries, concrete, dozens, wealth, commuting, energy, corners.
